“I have invested for many years in freehold ground rents as part of my pension and for my family, I am not a corporate company but a private individual. I am a responsible landlord and like to see fair play; the capping of existing Ground Rents, seems to mean that contract law has no value, and fair play is not being defended by the Government . The compensation to landlords, for the proposed changes will be significant, I am not sure how MP’s who support the bill will defend the payment of billions to The Duke of Westminster and others, to their constituents.”
